RIDIC017: MDK feat. Siegfried - Interstellar Mission
Release: June 07, 2011

RIDIC017 Art

01. Original Mix PREVIEW

02. Yanix Remix PREVIEW

Since winning the Dead Famous remix contest, MDK has been quite busy in the studio. After the success of his last original 'Our Plan' on DSUK, we are pleased to present MDK's debut on Ridiculoud Records. 'Interstellar Mission' is a classy piece of progressive breaks packed with MDK's traditional big drums and melodic undertones, perfect for deeper sets. For those missing that old skool style in progressive breaks, head straight over to the Yanix remix. Deep, haunting basslines, thick drums, and driving acid lines bring a tougher edge to the table before a smooth breakdown introduces the main elements from the original for a brief, melodic break in the action.

Feedback:

Duane Barry (Digital Sensation UK) - “I've been a fan of the original since I heard it on Soundcloud and gutted I couldn't sign it for DSUK - damn you, Ridiculoud! Yanix remix is beautiful as always, love them both!”

Llupa (YellowFinger/Ridiculoud) - “Great to see another original from MDK and one with a slightly different, more melodic twist to it - great tune for a more chilled set or opener. Yanix lays down a fantastic rendition. I really dig this tune and what he has done with it; yep, all ten minutes of it. Great work, and that'll be getting much play from me. Solid release guys, great work!”

Home Alone (Dead Famous/Ridiculoud) - “I love both mixes here. MDK is a skilled producer.”

LuQuas (Dead Famous) - Two great tracks here. Proggy and uplifting, but keeping those tough, driving drums. Great stuff.

Sketi (En:Vision) - This is a really cool, chilled out release. I do like MDK's work and he doesn't disappoint. The original is certainly my favorite - 8/10.

Triple Agent (Broken Robot) - “Feeling the Yanix remix - nice and floaty groove.”

Karton (Sound Of Habib) - “The Yanix remix has some nice, floaty vibes.”

Steve Maccabe (VIM) - Both tracks are good in my book, although maybe a little to laid back for my live sets. Yanix remix is a bit more to my tastes, bringing in the acid, and getting a tougher bassline in there. I do like both mixes though.

Mobius (Ape Music) - "Preferring the Yanix remix of the two."

Bill Vega (Downbeat/Badbwoy Bass) - Really nice vibes on both mixes - great stuff.

EK (Dead Famous) - “I’m digging the Yanix remix the most. Nice work on this one.”

Yreane (XSSR) - "Two exceptional tracks. Don't know which one is my favorite, have to decide until the next breaks podcast."

Burjuy (Breaks Review Show) - “Very pretty and proggy breaks! Awesome remix from  Yanix!!! The track is long, but I want it that way because it’s like a little fairy tale! The original mix is also nice with solid bass! Added as a favorite!!”

DiiSTORTiiON (Ridiculoud) - “Awesome production on both versions. Deep, techy, and rollin - love it! Special mention to Yanix's remix though on this one. Every track he releases is getting more and more pro. Reminds me of old skool Hybrid and Crystal Method - much respect!!”

Mr. No Hands (Mixmag) - “Good stuff, guys. Keep it up.”
